RedBull 3Style: Vancouver – And the Winner Is…

This was the line-up just after 9pm, stretching from the doors all the way to Robson street. A massive amount of people showed up for the event, there were some 4000 people trying to get in.
When I say this was a legendary evening, I’m not exaggerating. While in line, lots of party-goers around us were contemplating going elsewhere, but upon realizing their favourite DJs were ALL playing inside, they stayed.
And this is what anyone that left, missed!
And they certainly would have missed Rico Uno throwing himself out onto his supporters.
And at the end of the night, the winners were announced:
1st place: P-Luv
2nd place: Rico Uno
3rd place: Marlon J English
It was an amazing night, all 8 of the DJs played killer sets. And there’s word they might do the Canadian championships here in Vancouver next year, so keep your eyes open!

“We take this annual event to the biggest venue in Vancouver this time around to see ‘Who’s The Most Versatile DJ in the 604?. The object is simple. Each DJ gets 15 minutes to flex their biggest and best party set to date with the only criteria being that they mix at least 3 genres of music. Judges will base their decision on who will represent Vancouver in the Canadian finals in Toronto on creativity, track selection, skills, stage presence and audience response. Over $3,000 in cold hard cash and the chance to represent Vancouver in the finals on March 13 at Circa Nightclub in Toronto. Tickets at www.ticketmaster.ca or charge by phone.

The first post. Well it’s a good one. Got plans for this coming Thursday? Well you do now!
Come down to 1181 (1181 Davie St.) on Thursday Sept. 18th, this coming week, for what’s going to be an amazing event. We’ve teamed up with the guys at “Gossip – Talk of the Town”DJ G-Luve, Jeph & Spencer from Satellite Salon and Blair Petty.
It’s going to be a great show, we’ve got a bunch of new designs, along with some originals that’re going down the runway, done-up like you’ve never seen them before. The guys from Satellite Salon are great and Blair Petty’s make up is brilliant.
